First prototype Zeeman Slower This is the first prototype of a Transversal Zeeman Slower designed. This apparatus consist basically on an array of magnets specially distributed in the space, such as they create the magnetic field that the ytterbium atoms need to keep on resonance with the counter-propagating cooling laser beam.
